Detox Foods

I like to do a detox every now and again, especially after the holiday season!

What is a Detox?

- Well a detox is actually the body's natural process in which it eliminates toxins from the body. Whilst this is a natural process, there are foods that can help boost this process. 

Here are my favourite detox foods, they're easy to get a hold of and simple to mix into different meals:

Lemons- 

  • Lots of Vitamin C
  • They help balance your PH levels 
  • Support healthy bacteria  
  • Natural detoxifier
Green Veggies- 
  • Lots of Fiber (helps with digestion)
  • Endless amounts of Vitamins 
  • Contain antioxidants 
Water-
  • Flushes out toxins 
  • Prevents fluid retention 
  • Prevents constipation 
Others:
  • Green tea
  • Jasmine tea
  • Whole grains 
  • Garlic
  • Flax seeds
  • Pomegranate 
  • Goji berries 
  • Acai berries 
These are but a few of the foods that can help with detoxing! There are lots more but to keep it simple, stock up on your Fruit and Veg!
