25 Facts About Me

I love learning about new people. I think that is one of the reasons I love Blogging so much. I have made so many incredible girlfriends from this little outlet and I enjoy getting to know you all. Thus, I thought I would write a blog entry about 25 facts that are mildly entertaining, weird, and maybe a little disturbing about yours truly. I encourage you do to the same! ...and if you do, leave a comment and let me know, I would love to check them out!

1) I cannot fall asleep without "Roseanne" playing on DVD player. Seriously. It has been this way since 2007 when I bought the first season on DVD. I watched season 1 so much that I had to throw it the discs because they stopped working! I hardly ever watch it anymore when I get in bed, but I have to have it playing to fall asleep.

2) My dream career is a "Forensic Psychologist". I am obsessed with abnormal psychology and getting into the minds of killers. In college, in one of my Psyh classes, we had a write a 4 page report on a mental illness. I chose Schizophrenia and wrote a 10 pager because I thought it was fun.

3) I have red streaks in my hair and I am obsessed. I am lucky enough to have a boss in the "conservative cooperate world" who encourages us to be ourselves and diversity.

4) I am a mother. My son is my cat, Marty. I love him more than anything in this entire world and if something happened to him, I don't know what I would do. I shutter at the thought.

5) I am 24 years old and a complete baby when it comes to my mother. I am obsessed with her. I call her at least 3-4 times a day, cry when she leaves from visiting me, and tell her everything. She is my best friend. She has always let me be me and never tried to change me, and I cannot thank her enough for that.

6) I am a total Marvel comic nerd. I adore all of the comics and the movies. My favorite is "The Punisher". I have the skull tattooed on my back.

7) I have lost over 100 pounds!

8) I am probably the biggest Marilyn Monroe fan to date. I have a pictures of her everywhere. And my collection is steadily growing.

This is my Marilyn area near my bar in my living room. I have more throughout my apartment.

Here is my newest, I can't wait to get this one framed.

10) Writing is one of my favorite hobbies. That is one reason why Blogging is so fun to me. I can document my life and memories and just write about anything on my mind. I dream of being a published author. I even started writing a mob series. It will be a long time coming, but it is nice to work towards a dream. I wrote about that here.

11) I have to get 8 hours of sleep a night. 8. sold. hours. If I am invited to go out one night with my friends and have to work the next day, I will leave by 8:30 so I can have time to go home, get organized, and have plenty of rest. I may be a dork. But I am a well rested one.

12) I thrive on organization. I make lists constantly, plan everything out and in advance, and like to be in charge of coordinating events and projects. I used to be embarrassed of this quality, but now I embrace it. It makes me a damn good Office Manager, too.

13) I love to cook and come up with new and healthy recipes. I hate following other peoples recipes, so 99% of foods that I make are recipes straight from my head with nothing but trail and error. Below is one of my favorite recipes I have made to date: peanut butter protein muffins. You can click the picture for the recipe.

14) True Blood is my favorite show on television and reading the "Sookie Stackhouse" series is one of my favorite ways to unplug from the world and "escape". I have read the books countless times, over and over, and they never get old.

15) I tend to be an oversharer on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I just love sharing random things about my life via social media. I do not know why, I just think it's fun. But I don't mean this in a personal way - I do not put my business out there, but I love to share what I am up too, pictures of yummy food and drinks, a good buy I found, new makeup looks, etc.

16) I am a proud Libertarian. And it infuriates me when people do not properly educate themselves on politics. No one I know is a Libertarian. My mother is not. My father is not. Nor are my Grandparents. When I was college and taking Political Science classes, I studied each party and decided this fit more of my beliefs. However, a political party define who I am and who I vote for. Nor would I ever belittle anyone who disagrees with me.

17) I have a very close relationship with God. I pray religiously and live by the golden rule of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I consider myself a Christian, but do not take it much further than that. However, a lot of Christians hurt my heart by the things they say and do. That's a story for another day.

18) I have never had a cavity!

19) I use coupons and coupon codes religiously and in almost everything I do. I splurge with my hair and makeup, but do not buy things without my Ulta Rewards, coupons, and free samples. Same with groceries and dining out -- even down to the movies, I go see! I have a Regal card and earn free movies a lot. It's like a game to me, it's very fun.

20) Lady Gaga is my favorite recording artist of all time. A close second is Britney Spears, although I have not liked any of her albums since "Circus" :( My favorite band of all time is "Five Finger Death Punch". I have an extremely random taste in music.

21) My 3 biggest fears are: childbirth, marriage, and dying in a plane crash.

22) My biggest affliction is emotional eating.

23) I love any and all things "paranormal". I love to read and watch about experiences and here different theories on the "afterlife". I wholeheartedly believe in Heaven, but I still like to study the unknown.

24) I am a wino: Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite

25) I get Vitamin B12 and 6 shots once a week. They are incredible with providing natural energy, mood, and handling stress. I absolutely love it! They do not cause weight loss, but since they help so much with your overall well being, it aids in healthy eating and fitness!
