Sorry it has been a while since I last wrote a blog entry, I have had a lot on in my life! I moved out of home this week, back to university, which has kept me really busy! ANYWAY, I'm here to answer tonight, the two most common questions that I receive on a daily basis.
Casein Cake Recipe
- 1 heaped scoop of vanilla casein
- 1 tsp of coconut flour
- 1/2 tsp of baking powder
- 1 stick of natvia
- 1 egg white
- 3 tbsps of water/almond milk
Mix together and pour into a small, microwave proof bowl. Cover with cling wrap and microwave for a minute. Take out and turn bowl upside down onto a plate. I like to cover my casein cake with either fresh berries, greek yoghurt or a Walden Farms calorie free sauce :)
Calorie Counting Watch
My pink watch that people often ask about on my Instagram (@elliegettingfit) is what I am now going to talk about. It is called a Polar Watch, and is a basic heart rate monitor watch. You wear a strap just below your chest, which can exactly track your heart rate. The strap is very comfortable, and I often forget I'm even wearing it! Just make sure you fully wet the strap before you put it on, otherwise you won't get an accurate reading. The model of watch I have is called an FT4, which is the most basic and lets you see how many calories your burn in a specific amount of time, your exact heart rate, and how much of your workout was in the fitness/fat burning zone. I got mine off Ebay for $89 with FREE shipping, and I advise you pay no more than that. It really is such a great investment, and an awesome motivator!
